so what inspires you? a discussion about originals.
Every artist, musician and writer needs their own voice, their own way of interpreting what they see, hear or feel. Our interpretation of what is around us makes each of us individual in our styles and ideas. To be different and unique means we aren’t copying someone else…what’s unique about copying someone else?
When I create I look for inspiration in many places…my top three are color, nature and texture. I feel better when there is color in my world. I crave color; bold, bright colors are my favorites. The color palette of nature changes daily, and I am always amazed and inspired to see how nature and the creatures in nature change to fit into the environment.

Being original probably means someone will critique us or try to copy us, and that isn’t always pleasant. However, when we copy someone else we limit our own creativity, and we will never know how far we can go with our own talents. If I don’t create my originals, who will?
Today I am a part of a blog hop for more discussion about inspiration, copyrights and being original. Go to the following links and see what other artists have to say on the subject of originality.
