small things matter…
a few years ago in a junk store I found a poster of huge redwood pines with one very small pine growing at the feet of the large pines. There was a wonderful caption……
POTENTIAL–”Do not despise the day of small beginnings.” Zechariah 4:10
I purchased the poster and it hangs in my studio as a reminder that although something may be small the potential is greater than we think.
Often we think our little contributions to life are really insignificant; however, if we think of their POTENTIAL we realize those small things can bring change, encouragement, love, inspiration, hope and in fact the impact may be flung far and wide. Remember…
Every small grain of sand adds to the other millions of grains to create the beautiful beaches of the world.
Every drop of rain added to all the drops quench the thirst of humans, animals and vegetation around the world.
Every act of generosity, love and kindness brings hope and healing to someone.
every small bud brings a beautiful bloom

Focus on one thing at a time….someone told me that this morning and about two hours later I realized how important that piece of advice is.
When we get ahead of ourselves, make a decision or change course before we have all the needed information or tools we often find ourselves wishing we had focused on one thing at a time.
Today I have been reminded to be still and take one step at a time.
There is clarity with focus.

The sorting and packing are happening in anticipation of our move into new digs. Keeping a positive attitude is most important. Here’s my list on how to cope with change….
Plan what you can—Keep a daily routine as much as possible—Try not to micro-manage—Go with the flow—Take time to step away from the process.
At the end of this journey there is a new studio area for my business and that is well worth the packing, the moving and any other stresses we will encounter.
My studio is packed and waiting for a new home; I am working on small watercolor inspiration pieces and eagerly waiting for my new studio.

Here we go again…another work week with lots of possibilities.
My to do list is long; however, I am not complaining, just thankful for a list and all the blessings in my life.
We’re still on a house hunt and the right place will be found soon.
My week will be filled with art licensing business, house hunting stuff and packing.

What’s the outlook for your Friday…I’m not talking about the weather, because it seems there is a lot of heat everywhere. I’m talking attitude! How are things lining up for you? Sunny? Gloomy? Weary? Energized? Undecided? Excited?
Maybe your Friday outlook needs some TLC. Be good to yourself, lighten up, give yourself a break, take some time off, read a good book, watch a great movie…it is amazing what a little time spent away from the routine can do for your outlook on life.
