My 61 days challenge continues strong…I hope to send off Christmas gifts early next week. I have been inspired to create magnets, coasters and bookmarks using my art. I love creating gifts for family and friends.

Day 39 of 61 days challenge
At Christmas time we all have memories of family, friends, food and traditions that we reflect back on and continue with each year. One of my memories is a recipe from my oldest sister. Linda was a great cook and she enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She left this earth way too soon…I am thankful for the memories and traditions she helped create for our family. This recipe usually is one that I mix up and my family enjoys through the cold winter months.

Day 38 of 61 days challenge

Oh holy night the stars are brightly shining, it is the night of our dear Savior’s birth…..
It came upon a midnight clear that glorious song of old….
Joy to the world the Lord is come, let earth receive her King….

Day 36 of 61 days challenge
Every artist has their own approach to creating and inspiration. Most days I sketch and doodle in my journals. Many of my sketches develop into or lead into design ideas. Lettering is usually a part of most of my sketching. Not only is working in a journal relaxing, it is part of my inspiration process and it is fun!
I am over half way through my 61 days challenge. Although it is has been a challenge to blog everyday and keep up with my goals it has definitely helped me be more productive.

Day 35 of 61 day challenge
Today was a very productive day working on Christmas gifts. My goal this week is to complete gifts that have to be shipped. Then I can concentrate on completing other Christmas projects. My 61 days challenge is really keeping me focused with a few interruptions for house moving stuff. Tomorrow is a critical day for the house deal; hopefully, we will get the last details resolved and this deal will close soon.
I am so thankful for all my blessings at this Christmas season.

As I continue with my 61 day challenge during the Christmas season my goal is to find time every day to enjoy the simple pleasures of this joyous season…the old Christmas hymns, the lights on the Christmas tree, traditional Christmas movies, and most of all enjoying time with my family.

Christmas….

In the hustle and bustle of the season, the busyness of decorating, buying and wrapping, my hope is to keep the greatest Gift foremost in my mind and my activities.
61 days challenge continued today. It was a great day spent with my husband enjoying the sunshine and being together. We scoured thrift stores and antique stores looking for the right object to make a lamp. I’ll reveal when we have our project completed.

Day 31 of 61 days challenge
The 61 days challenge continues and I did manage to work on art yesterday…. However, I took some time off from art, because I had the privilege of volunteering at Samaritan’s Purse helping with Operation Christmas Child.
These lovely ladies let me tag along to help prepare Christmas shoeboxes for children around the world. It was fun working with my daughter and two of her friends for such a great cause. I always get such a blessing from helping with Operation Christmas Child…what a wonderful way to give to others during this Christmas season.
